Lat-Lon Viewer does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data. The extension has no analytics and no tracking.
What the extension does:
- It reads the text of web pages locally, in your browser, only to detect geographic coordinates and highlight them. Page content is never transmitted to us or to any server.
- When you hover over or select a coordinate, only that specific coordinate is sent to open-source services to display location information: OpenStreetMap Nominatim (address), Overpass (nearby places), and Open-Meteo (elevation and weather). These requests are made directly from your browser to those services.
- The only value stored locally (via chrome.storage.local) is your chosen default UTM zone preference.
The developer (Rodosto Teknoloji) operates no servers for this extension and receives no user data.
